The Lop breeds of the past included bunnys whose ears flopped forward over their faces and rabbits whose ears both flopped over to the same side. These breeds are extinct now, and the lop we see today is the bunny of choice. He can have huge ears, witch flop down beside its head like a Basset Hound's and give it the special look of the breed. Now there are four breeds of rabbits: the English Lop, French Lop, Holland Lop and Mini Lop. Each of them are unique in both its appearance and history. The English Lop is one of the oldest breeds. The French Lop is a mix of an English Lop and a Flemish Giant. He differs by a heavier stature. The Holand Lop , a dwarf breed of lop, is from Holland.
